Registration Fee

Regular TWD 16,250 (about US$ 500) After June 20, 2006 : TWD 20,000
Student TWD 9,750 (about US$ 300) After June 20, 2006 : TWD 13,000

The above fee covers
  • admission to 10-day MLSS sessions,
  • Lunch (not including the weekends),
  • two coffee breaks (not including the weekends),
  • banquet,
  • welcome package.

    • Financial Aid

    The PASCAL network offers a limited amount of travel funding for PASCALstudents to attend MLSS 2006 Taipei. If you are qualified, please apply through the conference and workshop attendence programme before July 8th, 2006.

    International students are qualified for scholarships with two levels:

  • USD 800 each
  • USD 400 each
  • Qualification: Full time student registered at an overseas college or graduate school.
  • Application deadline: May 31, 2006
  • Requirements:
    • CV.
    • Statement of purpose: a short (one paragraph) summary of how the summer school will benefit you and why you would like to be supported.
    • Names and contact addresses of at least one and up to three referees who can justify your application.
  • Scholarship does not waive registration fee

    Applications will be reviewed and decided by the steering committee
    by June 7,2006.


    Taiwan residents:
    Most of the funding of MLSS comes from National Science Council in Taiwan. A certain amount of fund must be used to support Taiwan residents to attend MLSS.
  • Non-students: Eligible for TWD 6,250 deduction each (報名費一萬元)
  • Students: Eligible for TWD 3,750 deduction each (報名費六千元)
  • Qualification: Resident ID or student ID (Note: International students studying at a             graduate institute in Taiwan are qualified.)
  • No application is required

    Cancellation

    Request for registration cancellation must be made in writing and sent to MLSS 2006 Registration office, c/o Chun-Nan Hsu, 128 Academic Rd. Sec. 2, Nankang, Taipei, Taiwan., faxed to +886-2-2788-3799 or e-mailed to mlss@iis.sinica.edu.tw. All refunds will be processed and mailed after the MLSS. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule.
  • Cancellations received on or before July 1, 2006, will receive a full refund minus a TWD $3200 processing fee.
  • Cancellations received from July 2, 2006 through July 15, 2006 will receive a full refund minus a TWD $5000 processing fee.
  • No refund of fees will be made after July 15, 2006.
